RISe System Release - Oct 2025

We have added a new, dedicated location for Expired State Applications within the My Inbox to help researchers more easily track these files.

To view this new section:

• Ensure PI & Staff is selected as your role on your RISe home page
• Navigate to the My Inbox tab
• The Expired Applications section is now located below New Applications.
   

We have introduced a new application status: Administrative Hold. This state is positioned in the workflow between Approved and Suspended.

This state will be utilized by the REB Chair or designee when substantial concerns related to a protocol require a temporary pause for resolution.

Key Details:

• The hold is issued to resolve concerns between the REB and the researcher
• The REB must clearly communicate which activities are paused (e.g., all research, new recruitment, specific procedures, etc.)
• The REB Chair/designee lifts the hold upon satisfactory resolution.

The form for the Clinical Post-Approval Activity (PAA) Renewal Coversheet has been updated with changes to reflect evolving reporting requirements.
